    Look, when a person talks about something weighing more than something else its generally a given that you are comparing the same volume, not the same weight of each, which would just be stupid. If you want to pick nits - muscle is more dense than fat. Sorry if I wasn't crystal clear enough to make sure you could actually understand what I meant. Sheesh.

    BAck in '98 I trained all year for the NYC marathon... serious milage and way serious weight work in gym. The day I started I weighed 145. The day I finished the marathon, 143.

    Same in 2000 when training for Boston-NYC Aidsride... only then I didn't shed a single pound.

    BUT I had great definition!

    No worries! The thing that matters most is how you feel. Don't get hung up on the number on the scale. And most importantly, have fun!
