I got notified of my moon on a group ride recently. Ride on! What else can you do right then and there?

However, when I got home, I marked a big X on the tag and relegate those shorts to my winter riding under tights or to spin class (they turn off the lights).

    That's why I ride alone.

I did have a friend tell me I had moon shine once at a gym while rock climbing. Personally, I was annoyed. It wasn't like I could go home and change. So, I kept climbing. Too bad for them if it offended anyone.

I have an older pair that also was sewn with this black/brown wiry thread that is starting to fuzz and come through at the front - looks like human (ahem!) hair!

So I only wear those under cargo shorts for a commute or mountain biking.
I can do five more miles.

Full moons provide light on the darkest of nights, so if "my" full moon is as bright- so be it. I might provide a beacon of light to lead the cyclist behind me. I don't care, honestly. If they are so thin I can see through them like transparent glass, then I'll change them, but until then...
I have a skirt or capris I can throw over thinning ones if I have to- but nobody has ever told me I'm "showing." Of course, like redrhodie, I ride mostly alone...

I was just told recently that some of my shorts do show - they're not my regular ones and I just wear them when all my regular shorts are dirty... so I'll just continue to do that and pull on some thin nylon shorts over them if I have to wear them.

I want to inform you that looking in a mirror doesn't quite do it. Your derriere looks DIFFERENT while seated. There are little er, wrinkles and things that do not show up. If you MUST wear those shorts, put a pair of biking undershorts on underneath!

Wrinkles? In my rear? I'm having trouble visualizing this.

    you don't want to.
Imagine, you are going down the road and the guy in front of you. NO, it can't be. you look away. You look back, what did i see? you look away, gross, it can't be. You look back, is that what I think it is?
This can go on for MILES. Are you sure you want someone behind you in that condition? And finally when you figure out, yes, you really are seeing his bare flesh jiggling beneath his transparent shorts, now you are still trying not to look, but you have to, because he's in front of you..
for the good of the nation, the planet, the universe, you MUST tell that person to buy new shorts.
    Been there done that.
