    Same shorts, different chamois???

OK, a few weeks ago I posted about my good experience with my new Shebeest S Pro shorts. I did mention that when I bought the second pair, it seemed to fit slightly differently; the waist a bit higher and the legs a bit shorter.
The reason I got the first pair is that I had to throw out my other 2 pairs of Shebeest shorts. The ultra D's kept giving me a saddle sore in the exact same place and the seams just hurt. The SSS shorts had a chamois that just ht me wrong and I was always sore after I wore them. So, that left me with 3 pairs of Terry bellas, which I love, but I like to have 5 pairs of shorts, so I am not forced to do laundry more than twice a week. I bought the second pair of S Pros about 2 weeks after I bought the first, here on TE.
Sooooo, this morning I woke up and I had a saddle sore (not quite as bad as the last time) in the exact same place. I accidently hit it in the shower and ouch! I didn't ride yesterday, but Wednesday I did a 40 mile ride, in hot weather. I got out of my shorts right away, but I was out riding for awhile, with a 30 minute stop near the end of the ride.
I did my laundry earlier and when I hung both of the S Pro shorts on the rack to dry, lo and behold, one has a chamois that looks just like my Terry's. The other has the "She-lastic" chamois, with lots of lines, seams, and ridges, similar to the Ultra Ds. The padding is not as thick, though. I must have worn this pair Wednesday.
How can the same model have different chamois? I could see if I bought one pair last year, but I bought both this spring. I don't even think they made these last year, so no "old" models could sneak in.
    Any ideas?

Crankin... I have no magical insight to your question, but I know what you mean. I hate it when our favorite stuff gets switched up. I'm assuming somehow one stock of a "whatever" probably got mixed up in an order from SB to TE.

I've been trying diff shorts here lately too. Sometimes I have the seam issue. Always on the right side. I wonder if my pedal stroke on that side has something to do with it? Sometimes it's fine.

BUT... fwiw, these are my new favorite shorts in this link below...

I have brands from TE here. And this one I heard of from TE.

I love the chamois. The waffle weave fabric I was skeptical about (it's on the thin side for me--aka the see through factor thing), but the compression is lovely for support!

I had a weird fabric print of a bag I bought from TE and they switched it out for free. Maybe there's something they could do for your shorts too?

    Good luck.

I would ask Susan O. She knows the TE products so well and can probably answer your question about the chamois. That's very strange!

I think I will email Susan. I don't expect a refund, since the shorts are worn, and I am hoping that more washing will help the situation. I also think I need to start using the chamois butt'r again; it seems to happen only when it's hot and humid out.

I have no suggestions either, but that happened to me once.
I bought a pair of Hind bike shorts from an on-line/catalog retailer. I liked the shorts so much, I called up and ordered a second pair - same catalog number, same price, and, supposedly, the same shorts. The shorts that came were very different. They were okay, but definitely not the same.

    Same with everything I think.

I know you mentioned you like the Levi's 515 jeans - I have four pairs and no two are alike. Two of my Voler Night Bright jerseys are true hi-viz yellow and the third one is more lemony colored.

Darnit, when we buy mass produced stuff we want it identical.

    Hi Crankin,

I know during production runs of garments as the shorts switch from one line to another there can be mix ups that QC does not always catch. I would contact Shebeest directly, they should send you the correct pair and or refund you even if you have worn them. As that is what our company would do, Im pretty sure Shebeest will do the same.

    Hi Crankin'.

Your S-Pro Shorts should have this chamois in them:
    DOLCE SHELASTIC CHAMOIS
    http://images.teamestrogen.com/ri/65...ticChamois.jpg

If you bought both pairs from us, they should both be the same, unless:
    1) we mis-shipped you something other than the S-Pro you ordered
    or
    2) you thought you were ordering S-Pro shorts but accidentally ordered something else.

Either way, give our customer service staff a call (877-310-4592), we'll check your purchase history and get it all straightened out for you.

The picture of the She-lastic chamois is the one that came with the second pair of shorts. But, the shorts themselves look exactly the same, have the same pocket, style, waistband, etc. I *know* both had S-Pro tags when I bought them.
    Calling tomorrow.

I sent our customer service staff a link to this thread, so they should have a heads up on this issue in the a.m.
