Bike instead of BART

I have a route from Casa Trek420 to Oakland... does require a sprint through East Oakland gang territory (up International) but that early in the morning it'd probably be trouble free.

Going home might be interesting though

Yeah, that's pretty direct and flat. I could easily get to International and straight through to Downtown Oaktown. Pack the sword in the backpack

Or .... industrial area of Hayweird to the Regional Shoreline Park, take the trail to San Leandro Marina and from there ... I dunno what to do from there.

Sit on the wharf and call in sick? Oh, it's so pretty, I just did this nice ride

Or take the high road! Castro Valley up and over Redwood .... If I managed to do that by the time I got to work just prop me up at my desk and feed me.

And repeat on the way home?

If our dogs got along I'd ask to park on your couch

I have lots of vacation time left, I'd hate to use it up for this.

As of 11:15am, Friday, July 31, BART management and unions have reached tentative agreement on labor contracts. A strike is no longer anticipated. BART continues operating regular train service. For more information, go to bart.gov.

Now if I can just get even a tentative contract

Well, now the BART contract goes to the members for a vote today. If it's a no vote ..... we may have to dust off our route maps to work.

The good news is where I work we gots ourselves a tentative contract.

And it's a "no" vote. Here we go again I'm a proud union member but there's gotta be a better way for them to negotiate.

Just heard on the news that a tentative contract has been reached. Yeahhhhh!! This is a relief for oh so many reasons including the estimated commute being a half hour to an hour longer for me.
