Ran close to 4miles w/ my new shoes on Tuesday. I had over 400miles on my last pair, so it's nice to have a little cushion back, especially w/ the 50k coming up.

Went out to a state park near Fargo for another trail run yesterday. The trails were little difficult to navigate, but we got the mileage we wanted thanks to the use of my Hubby's Garmin. 9.15 of trail, beat the rain & a setting sun, it was a very comfortable 9. Beautiful wild flowers. Next time I'm taking the camera along.

So Indigoiis & I can't be the only ones running this week! How are the rest of you doing?

I did intervals with speed work and pacing on Tuesday.

Ran about 5 miles last night with the baby in the jogger. Nice and slow. It felt good.

Ran yesterday... hills... 93 degree heat and humidity. Whipped me big time. Should have done 6 miles, only made it for. I was toast at the end!

Kept a 9:30 mm though, so happy about that. Even with some walking at the end. HA!

Jogged at noon today, 88-90 degrees, 3 miles. Too hot, just beginning to overheat when I returned to work. No shade, desert running, lots of lizards. After 5pm has been to uncomfortable when the temp goes over 98 degrees. Still, nothing feels like a run does......

I am thinking I might stop running until the late fall. My hip just won't quit hurting, I don't like running in the heat, and my cycling mileage is not where it should be. Since I just finished PT for my neck, I really don't want to start all over with my hip; have a feeling my slightly elevated RA factor may be reacting to the running.
Well, at least I am taking a break.

I think breaks are really smart, sometimes.

I agree! Listen to your body it will tell you what you need to do.

Since I tend to turn a deaf ear to what my body is telling me, I've had to have a plan for my running season each year. Taking late fall & winter mileage way down to 10-15miles per week. Body responds well to that.

KSH You are getting speedy!! Keep that up.
