I think you hit right on my worry limewave. I'm a medical scientist, I'm pretty informed on biology and the body and yadda yadda. I fear I'd end up with someone telling me all the things I already know. I've never had such a problem with losing weight. I know I'm older now, who isn't, but I just can't stop thinking that something more is going on here and I can't figure it out. My TSH goes up for a few blood tests, then comes back to normal so my GP says all is fine. I did finally say - well then why can't I drop an ounce of weight. She doesn't know me well enough to know that I'm not a total couch potato though I admit sometimes I get so bummed about zero results that I don't even want to go out and move it. Plus I've been sick with a cough for 2 months now, that isn't helping. OY.
I keep joking that people shouldn't ask me "how are you", because I am Kimmy Whiner now and I'll tell you exactly how I am.![]()
I just can't figure out who to ask to find someone around here that won't be a waste of my time and be more complete in how they view this all. I may ask my Dr if she knows anyone, but since she seemed to shrug off the comment I made, I'm not optimistic. I like her otherwise though, but this issue I'm feeling very alone in. Except for all of you guys, of course.![]()
