24.5, yikes! Great job. I wonder if there will ever be a day when I'll run that far comfortably.

10.3 for me today, a new loop. Now that I've finally got to a hilly 10 miles, all kinds of routes are open to me. So much more fun than the boring out-and-backs I have to do for anything under 8! What I didn't know is that today's route, although it's only a quarter mile longer than last week's long run, has some MONSTER hills in it. Didn't kill me, must've made me stronger. Plus, it was really scenic, and a pleasure to run (other than one really steep gravel descent that made me a little nervous).

There's a 10 mile race in two weeks that I'm thinking I might enter, just for practice drinking from aid stations. It's kind of a long drive, but I'm pretty sure it'll be a way flatter course than my long runs have been this summer - it would be interesting to see how I'd do, without really trying to "race." Don't know yet, still thinking about it.

My running has been OUSTANDING lately *knocks on wood*!

I took 6 weeks off for a stress fracture in my foot and I'm back... stronger than before.

I use to do a walk/run combo, but my friend wants us to RUN a half mary Feb 2010, so I figured I would give just straight running a try.

    I don't know WHO I am!

Did 6 miles on 7-19-09 in 57:16. Did 6 miles on 7-26-09 in 56:58! For me to RUN for 6 miles at around a 9:30 minute mile... is shocking.

THEN on 7-26-09, I did a sprint tri... and RAN the 5K with a 8:15 minute mile! I was hoping for around a 8:30 and I smashed that time.

It's like I'm a runner or something. Trust me, it's completely shocking.

*Note: it use to be good if I kept a 10:30 mm with a walk/run.**
