24.5, yikes!
Great job. I wonder if there will ever be a day when I'll run that far comfortably.
10.3 for me today, a new loop. Now that I've finally got to a hilly 10 miles, all kinds of routes are open to me. So much more fun than the boring out-and-backs I have to do for anything under 8! What I didn't know is that today's route, although it's only a quarter mile longer than last week's long run, has some MONSTER hills in it. Didn't kill me, must've made me stronger.
Plus, it was really scenic, and a pleasure to run (other than one really steep gravel descent that made me a little nervous).
There's a 10 mile race in two weeks that I'm thinking I might enter, just for practice drinking from aid stations. It's kind of a long drive, but I'm pretty sure it'll be a way flatter course than my long runs have been this summer - it would be interesting to see how I'd do, without really trying to "race." Don't know yet, still thinking about it.
