    I'm sorry to hear about your fork. It'll work out.

    I think you showed restraint in front of those two "ladies," by the way. My Irish temper would have gotten the best of me, as encountering them would have been the last straw. They would have learned some new profanities--something to discuss as they drove off in their white Lexus/BMW/Cadillac/FillintheBlank SUV.

    Its the combination of attitude, manicures, vehicles, over accessorization, and the general lack of dirt, sweat, and intolerance for those who were sporting them (aka me) that made me so irritated. Bicycling is not a fashion statement (as in something to take up so as to fit in with the other Jr. League women). I used to teach spin and had a small group of women who came to talk to each other, not pedal. It was distracting to those who were trying to actually spin in peace. I finally told them that if they could talk, they weren't working very hard. Instead of letting them adjust their own tension, I did it for them. That put an end to that.
