My record number of donuts is a measly three. Before I began biking, I thought biking and donuts seemed like a heavenly combination. That lasted until I attempted to eat my first donut on my first tour. Sounds great in theory, but it's not so great in practice!

Yeah, I once had a bacon omelette that sounded delicious, in theory. That was a long 16 mile long ride home! (The Dutzow Deli on the Katy)

I am riding an impossible MTB ride tomorrow. It is an a$$ kicking...only 7 miles, but it has rocks, rocks, rocks, and a few rocks thrown in. Plus sand. And climbs. However, my favorite donut shop is on the way. The conundrum...to eat donuts before doing this butt kicking in the probably 95 degree (albeit shady) weather...and suffer the consequences? Or forgo the donuts for a healthy bowl of rice chex and skim milk and diet coke?
I cant get them on the way back, it will be closed...and they won't make it in the hot car.
    Hmmm. Risks, risks.

I am all for great fun and events but that sounds, well, counter productive. I would be a fan of healthy eating incentives if there ever was one!
