    excellent- and a sweet ride
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Okay - I'm bumping this thread....

I'm sick of my little mini pump (not sure - might be a Bontrager - it's a bunch o' years old, anyway) on my roadie. I haven't used it much, but enough to know my arms will fall off if I need it. We do have floor pumps, so it's only an issue when riding.

After hunting here and elsewhere online, I think I want to get a Road Morph. I'm a weight weenie (although only on my equipment, apparently), so I'm thinking I want the Mini Road Morph, and not the Road Morph G. A little shorter, lighter, and no pressure gauge. Still bulkier than anything I thought I might want, but the advantages seem pretty clear.

One of my beefs with my old mini pump is that the head can get bumped to the side, and my pedal hits it. I think the problem is that my down tube and seat tube are oversized (carbon), so the pump is mighty close to the crank in the first place. I want it mounted to the side, like in Msincredible's picture, but need to be sure it won't get in the way. I suspect I'll have to order one (don't know if any local shops carry it), so will be stuck with it when it comes in. Anyway, I've read that one model takes up one cage mount, and I really need to be able to use both for water. The other maybe mounts wherever? I can't find pictures of the mounting brackets.

Does anyone know the mounting scheme for the Mini Road Morph? And the dimensions? I have looked online, but I don't trust the published dimensions. If anyone could post the dimensions of theirs (the diameter of the barrel would likely be the same on the Road Morph G, I would think, so I could also see if it would fit the bracket for my old one). If the widest part of the pump is smaller than the widest part of mine, then it shouldn't get in my way pedaling.

I have considered going to CO2, but my one and only experience was a disaster (on a solo 90 mile ride), so I was lucky to also have the pump along. Now I don't trust CO2 cartridges, and I'm not convinced that carrying 2 cartridges plus the unit is actually enough lighter than a pump to be worth it. DH got a combo CO2/pump thingy, but that seems doubly heavy, to me. Plus recycling the cartridges is a problem around here.

Thanks to anyone who can help!
