I was blessed to have this mare for 16 years. In this pic she was a "fancy show horse" but in my world she was an excellent trail horse and pet.
She made us all feel so loved!

Yes, I do believe you are correct.
The "thinking" has more to do with trying to decide which avenue to try first: agility, frisbee competitions (she already does the half backflip, turn in mid air, and catch trick on her own...), or trying to find somewhere she could actually herd.
First and foremost will be some obedience classes though.
Today she decided the water bowl was for her to stick her foot in and paw and I got to mop the floor.
I do not have a geographically or financially stable enough life to warrant getting pet(s) yet but I do have bikes! Bikes are like pets, right? You love them, take care of them, take them out for rides and in return they serve you well. Sometimes we rescue ones that other have discarded. Some of us name them.
I can't wait to get a dog, thoughBut for now, I only have bikes...

Hi! Thanks for asking about my mare. The photo is from 1973---I had her from 1978--1994. Her name was Red Apron--here's her online bio.
We loved her soooo much!

My two dogs were french-kissing each other this morning! One of them apparently had a flavor, and that got the other one licking her face, and before you know it, they were both licking each other's snouts until they licked all the flavor off. It was hilarious!!

Ana, you could always have birds or guinea pigs. I saw some might cute guinea pigs today. They remind me of hippopotamus (hippopottumi?)

I have a hard enough time taking care of myself. Bikes are easy because you don't have to feed them in order to ensure their existence.Plus I'm still at the point in my life where I move every year or so
Landlords aren't particularly fond of allowing pets (plus usually it requires a fee).
I don't really care for birds. I have had small animals as a child but think I am done with that.
I think it will be better to wait until I have the time and financial stability to properly train and take care of a puppyPlus I'm currently focused on what I am to do with my life...

Thank you for the suggestions, though![]()

I had a guinea pig as a pet in college. They are super cool but don't live very long. I loved when I got home, I'd say "Lucy...I'm home" (she was red/white) and she made these squealing pig noises. When you pick them up they purr like a kitten. They are a little messy though but a cool personality for a rodent.
