I am sore all over and don't know why, so I walked 3.3 miles instead of running. I thought the heat would get to me, but I decided to walk before it did. It was like every injury I have ever had came out. Metatarsals on my left foot aching (stress fracture in 1988!), my usual aching right hip, and my knee with the road rash/bruise is really stiff. Well, I am happy to report that my hip actually feels better after the walk, and my pace was 15.8, so not that much slower than a run a lot of the time!
Sometimes I hate my body for rebelling the way it does. I did a 44 mile ride yesterday, which wasn't hilly, but hard in terms of pace and heat. I keep questioning whether I should be running at all, but usually I keep going. OK, off to veg out by the pond (reading Runner's World).

), so today was long run day instead.

it's going to be, I want to be as fresh as possible, without being a complete layabout all week.
