My crash was at about 35 mph according to my Garmin. Not advised.
FWIW, head & facial abrasions can bleed a lot & look very bad (been there done that ... I'm told my face was really banged up and it was initially thought I had broken my eye socket, but turns out I didn't).

So while the photos of Jen's crash certainly look horrific, there's a good chance it'll turn out to be not to be as bad as it looks. Still, a broken cheekbone, gah.
