The hubby and I took a break from racing and rode up Hurricane Ridge (in the Olympic state park in Washington) instead this Sunday. Just poking around on the net looking at reports from other people who've ridden it and what pops up nearly first in my search? It's one heck of a ride around 5400 feet of pretty much unrelenting climbing (there's one tiny section of down - maybe all of 200 meters) over 17 miles. From mile 6 on the road was all redone just last year and is in beautiful shape. On the way down we had a truck and a van pull over to let us go by
