yeah, but it makes the races sooooooo boooooooooring. It just isn't fun to watch.

But hey, Cav is the best, so a well deserved victory.

I don't find the racing boring at all. Of course, there's always the rush of excitement at the end, but I really enjoy watching the whole thing. I like the commentary about the lesser-known racers as well as the landscape and architecture that is featured. I'm a bit of a geek, though, and like to follow along with my big Michelin map book when I can.

Our presenters are known for that. You know, when they pass a castle or a monument, they always tell a little history about it. They are always assisted by a former racer, which is very interesting. Especially when it's Tom Steels (he won 9 stages I believe in the tdf), he's a sprinter and the way he explains how a sprint works is really cool.

I was watching with my grandsons yesterday morning. They came over pretty early, and one went back to sleep for a couple of hours, but not before they saw the hay bale bike that the boys both agreed looked like it was made of marshmallows!

The little one was pretty excited by the close ups of the snails too! (and hoped we didn't see them smashed -- WHEW!)

    Good job, Reesha!

Did everyone see the story about Tyler Farrar's father being hit while riding his bike and is paralyzed from the waist down? They then gave Dave Zabriskie's website of yieldtolife.org.

Tyler is from eastern Washington, and being part of the racing community out here I heard about his dad's accident soon after it happened. Very sad and senseless as most cycling accidents are. A security guard was fussing with his clip board instead of looking at the road and drifted into him head on.

About Tyler's dad, I didn't know about it. How saw. I did know about Dave Z's website, however.

I guess many of you know by now, Levi is out with a broken wrist. When he got back on the bike after the crash I thought thank goodness he is ok. I guess he wasn't.

I feel so bad for him, rotten luck.
