I remember my delight when I found a 5cent pay phone in some backwoods town somewhere (the rest were 10 cents)

And the milk man, the Dugan man (breads, cupcakes)
I remember paying 12 cents for a bus ride.
We'd get up early and watch the test signal on the television. It jumped around a lot.
