It was. I don't even bother to make a go at that one!
I can't tell you the number of times I was asked today, "Where's P?"
Hope to see you next week!

Hope all you tumblers heal up soon!

We did 62 miles (my longest ride in nearly a year) before the sun could catch us. I woke up at 5:30 and couldn't sleep. Around 6:30 I woke the sleeping dog, cat and husband. The husband grudgingly got out of bed and started the ride at 8:00. He then thanked me the rest of the ride for waking him for the lovely ride. It was 78 when we started and only 92 when we finished around 1:30 (we stopped for breakfast). Of course it teased 100 by 4:00.

    back in the saddle again!

I ignored the brain cells that told me to roll out of bed at 5 something AM, when it would be realitively cooler... and slept in until 6:30, ate breakfast, and read the paper. Finally getting me and my bike to the Mississippi River levee at 10:30 in the morning, when it was already 90 degrees and something like 85% humidity. But I rode 10 miles up to the end and back (20 miles round trip), taking it easy. Was good to be out! Average speed was 15 mph.

I need to replace my computer - I was doing 0, no 15, no 11.4, no 20.... all the while moving the same speed, then the screen goes blank. I gave the thing a new battery, cleaned the heads, jiggled wires. Don't know what else to do but rip it off and throw it in the river! (trash actually).

Solo, that drop sounds super scary! Amazing you weren't seriously hurt.

Went for a ride with my parents yesterday. It was my first ride in two weeks, I've been feeling unmotivated post-vacation. They don't ride very far, so I just took it as a "get back into the swing of things" ride. Crank until I got to an intersection, wait for them to catch up. Felt good and I think I've got the "urge" again, so mission accomplished. 14.2 miles, 13mph.

Hey! Long time not see! Between wedding shitake and not riding much I haven't been about. The good news is, I put in 22 miles yesterday, solo, and even did some adventuring. I'm still a little nervous, but I would say I'm riding again, after my wreck in April. It's good to be out. I may even try a group ride next weekend. I just need to go early, and avoid higher traffic areas. It was so nice to be out!

22mi total. Was to be a "training route" day but had other stuff cut it short. Ugh... tomorrow.
