I know I'm lame, but I watch the Bachelorette, and the first thing that came to mind was how much these guys are better than that Wes guy singing a corny song to Jillian.

I once had my bike transported from Toronto to Vancouver on Greyhound. They broke my shifter in transit. It was a small piece, but it was rather vital to the whole function of the shifter. Not a cheap thing, but they took responsibility and paid for the repair (but I did buy insurance so I guess that was a no-brainer).

Ahhh... it's working!!! CNN reported on this guy, showed the video, and later in the day, reported that United is opening the case back up!

As they should, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it's not really going to change the way they deal with other claims from customers... just the way they deal with his.

PW- that's awesome!!! I'm glad it's working for him. He reported it before he even left O'Hare and then for the next 9 months, but got nowhere. They should rightfully give him at least the minimum insurance coverage they provide, even if he didn't buy extra- ESPECIALLY since they didn't deny the incident occurred. It's like they said: "we know our guys broke it, but what are you gonna do about it?"

Bad publicity is a reason to deal with someone, I suppose. I think Reesha is right, though. It probably won't change the way they deal with others.

I think more people should deal with bad customer service this way, instead of suing. I think we'd get a lot of good music out of it (I liked the song). They're actually a pretty good band- listened to some of their other stuff on youtube.
