Man that stinks! Take care of yourself. I hope you can still do your ride this weekend.

Not a good day for me. I'll be fine, the bike is fine. I wasn't feeling it, and DH wanted to ride w/me (I think as a favor to me) and was late getting home. We started rolling out - we were cruising down a street we go down all the time (I was riding way behind him, and probably focusing more on catching up than watching the road), and I went down hard. No real idea as to what caused it. No idea what it will feel like to get back on the bike, either. I can't imagine not being a little skittish.
Some pretty good rash on my knee and elbow, stab wounds from the chain ring and (!) skinned the side of a finger near the nail, and ground another nail down. They hurt - and I suspect will take a while to heal (plus I can't type well). Plus a sore, but not skinned, shoulder. No skeletal damage that I can tell. New helmet time, though - my head hit the pavement (not that hard, but still an impact).
I'm thinking I might not make the ride this weekendIt's one I love - the Triangle Land Conservancy Ride for the Land
I'm not ruling it out yet, but things aren't looking good

Oh no I hope you are feeling better soon and get to do your ride.
July 7th must be the date for topples. I went for a ride with crazycanuck yesterday (which was July 7th for us) I was not paying enough attention and touched her back wheel and down I went. Lucky for me we were going slow at that stage so no damage to me or the bike.
Take care and get plenty of rest.![]()
The most effective way to do it, is to do it.
