    WTB: Specialized Ruby 143 saddle/white

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Hi, looking to buy another Specialized Ruby 143 in white. I have ridden one for two years and LUV it. Looking for a second one for another bike. If you have one let me know what you'd like to have for it, how old/how many miles it has on and, please, send a pic. Also, any women who have ridden a Fizik Aliante and REALLY liked it? I rode one for a couple hundred miles and can't decide...

I put about 300 miles on an Aliante Gamma last year. I couldn't deal with the up-front pain. It wasn't really that I was supporting all my weight up front, I think it was just that since I ride in a fairly aggressive position (handlebars lower than the saddle) and move around a lot, it angled that sensitive area down into the seat a bit more, and after a long ride it just felt all chafed & irritated down there. From that little experiment I learned that I'm one of the girls who really, really need a cutout.

That said, in the rear, it was the most comfy saddle I've ever ridden - my butt did not hurt at all even after a really long ride. It's just that I'd rather have a sore bum than feeling like I'm peeing fire. If they ever come out with an Aliante with the same overall dimensions & shape but include a nice cutout, I'd probably be set.

Specialized Ruby Saddle 143 White New In Box!

Anyone looking for a brand new saddle? I just bought a new Specialized Ruby Road Bike and upgraded the saddle with the Ruby WHITE leather, trim silver, Ti. The saddle retails @ $155. It's a NEVER USED, IN THE BOX! I found the exact saddle with PINK trim and bought it also and LOVE the saddle. I'd like to get $98 but would consider reasonable offers. I can email pictures.

    white ruby 143

If I had an 'extra' $100 I would be all over buying your saddle, just as a spare. Unfortunately, I do not at this time.

I would LUV to see Fizik put out an Aliante with a cut-out!! I feel the EXACT same when when I've ridden one. For now, the Ruby is what is on 2 of my road bikes.
