    Sour cherries are here! Hooray!

It's one of the highlights of my year; in fact, if it were up to me, there would be a Christmas-type holiday in honor of the cherries and the corn that can't be far behind. My tradition is to go through a zillion recipe books, thinking I'll try something different this year, then end up making the classic cherry pie. Maybe I'll do a clafouti, too.

Consider yourself VERY lucky! I haven't had a sour cherry in years...sure do miss 'em. Sweet cherries are good (scored some organic ones last week!) but just not the same.

    Enjoy!

I love sour cherry's. Had them in my previous house and I will plant a tree again this fall. I put them in jevenver (a bit like gin) with sugar, and store them for about six months. And then....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

So delicious, but so dangerous. Let's say you'll taste them after your ride and not before.

I had a piece left in my refrig when I flew back in town yesterday. Yummy. Will have to make another one. Unfortunately I'm having to use bing cherries. I'm just happy to get fresh cherries. Yumm!
