Another post injury milestone!
Rode in my first group ride just a little over a week from my first road ride.
They have been doing a great job keeping the B group together so that no one gets dropped for too long and gets discouraged. I figured I would be one of those riders way at the back but I was pleased to find myself up near the front for most of the ride. I did get pretty winded and tired and yeah I probably pushed a bit harder than I should haveHowever, I am not suffering at all today, just a tad stiff.

I had a scary moment when there was a crash behind me as we crossed a busy intersection. One rider was looking behind him and caught the wheel of the rider in front of him. He fell and the girl behind him had no where to go but over him. Luckily we had the light and no one was hurt.
It is a lovely 28 mile ride with some really nice people and I was glad to be able to keep up. The LBS had cold watermelon for us when we got back and that was a nice touch.
On a side note I am going to start writing a blog for the bike shop to post on their website. I volunteered to do it because I think it would really encourage more people to participate in the different activities.
