I am not sure if any of you have seen this journal recently but it is a women who just turned 70 and is biking across America.

    Journal Link

Here is the first paragraph of her journal:

"I had my 70th birthday in March 2009 and thought I'd mark the occasion by cycling across the United States. No stress or time pressure. I'll just set out and see how far I'll get."

I think that is so refreshing to just take each day one at a time with no mileage goals.

I want to be just like this woman when I am 70. Wow! What a role model.

I had the privilege of cycling 2000 miles last year at this time with Judy on the WomanTours http://womantours.com trip on the Underground Railroad Route. We rode from Alabama to Niagara Falls in 6 weeks. She often rode alone and never worried about that. She is by herself on this trip and many of the women that she has ridden with on the UGRR and on the trip she did the year before...Meandering Mississippi, from New Orleans to Lake Itaska in Minnesota are trying to hook up with her along her route!

If I can do this when I am 70, I will be a very happy camper, uh...biker! I know that she would love to hear some encouraging words on the guestbook on crazyguyonabike. You do not have to register. You can sign in as a guest.

I am really glad to see that someone on TE found this journal because alot of us are following it...just never thought to post it here!
