In the blog article, there was statistical summary search data to show interest in pink.

However, how does that compare against the existing sales of inventory where the garment with predominantly pink colour, was sold/purchased?

I probably have natural hair colour and skin tone that can wear a strong saturated pink, however I haven't bought anything predominantly pink for cycling. I wear a 'feminine' colour of solid lavender (short sleeve jersey)...only because it was my lst jersey (of many later) and it was cheaply priced.

For reasons I can't justify, I don't gravitate towards pink dominant cycling wear at all.

But I do have and wear some off-bike, pink shade dressier clothing. (Dusky rose tops, even a bright coral pink dress I sewed & wore for several years with black accessories, a light pink cashmere wool suit jacket for more formal meetings/occasions). So I don't hate pink. But for sports activities, I just don't like wearing it.
