I never had a teddy bear as a child, and always missed it.
I got one for myself at age 27. He's great. My husband calls him Johnny.
Same here, I got one at 18 - he's still in my bed now, 17 years later!
One day, I'm going to buy a cottage in a small village and become its idiot!
My 55 year old little teddy bear is sitting right behind me in my office here- he's the one my parents brought to me in the hospital when I was 6 months old with severe pneumonia, stuck in an oxygen tent. The doctors had told them to be prepared I might not survive....but I did, and they got to bring me home (with my bear) in Christmas Eve.

(I liked the poem, but I have to say the 'F word' seems out of place and unnecessary.)

My favorite teddy bear, which now sits on top of my dresser, was made for me by my little brother 35 years ago.
My brother, who is now married with kids of his own, was and will always be one of my favorite people on this earth.
