It looks to me like they take the same cleat as the quattro, so....if you don't plan on having different shoes (I don't), you don't NEED to have different shoes!

I currently have Candy SL's, but I am in need of a second set of pedals - these ones get moved from MTB to road bike to other MTB and so on.... - and I have a birthday coming up!

Don't you love having to buy new bike stuff??

The Candy pedals do look a lot like my Quattros. As I mentioned I initially had a bit of trouble clipping in to these but with a bit of wear they seem much easier. Perhaps going with something that is similar like the Candy pedals would be the easiest option.

I love the Times. They are easy to get in and out of and shed mud great! I've never had an accidental release or any problems with them. I would definitely recommend them!

My husband has the eggbeaters and speaks highly of those also.

Hi Girls,

I also have a mtn. bike pedal question. I ride a road bike with Look Keo pedals. But there will be times when I would like a recessed cleat pedal (certain rides where walking will be involved). I would switch out pedals for those rides and get mountain bike shoes for those situations. I am interested in a mountain bike pedal which is most similar to a Look pedal re: clipping in and out, i.e., twisting foot to the side. What do you girls recommend?
