    I feel your pain.

My LBS has loaned me one of their bikes anytime my baby is in the shop for an extended period. He has a Della Santa that is close to my size, makes adjustments and away I go.

Does your POS bike shop have a loaner so at least you can ride??????

That's kind of worrying that the frame was cracked, what's up with that??? I hope it's not a sign of things to come.

i was actually more upset about the frame being cracked than he was.... he's giving giving them the benefit of the doubt that it's one flawed frame that got by them..... i was really glad he saw it before putting the bikes on the truck to leave for the ride rather than having a catastrophic failure on the ride!

fortunately... he still has his other bike so he's been able to ride at least! but it's annoying when you have that much money tied up in a bike... and you can't even ride it!

he spent last evening looking at other bikes... and the ones within the same cost area as the isaac... just don't do anything for him... and i'm not willing to add a couple thousand (or even another thousand) to get some of the other frames he's looked at and likes (serrotta ottrot... ya sure!)

i think he's just gonna bite the bullet and tell them to send the frame and wait... since they aren't willing to do the right thing and send it express for a company that's trying to get established in the states... you would think they would cater to their customers more to get that "word of mouth" thing going... he likes the frame... just hates the distributor here in the states and they are gonna be isaac's downfall if they keep it up!

oh.... and the reason he went with the bike shop he did... was to give him some business... since isaac had no dealers close to us (closest one 3 hours away) oshner said he could pick a bike shop... so he decided to choose mikes... we've used him for tune ups before... and we was always good... and rides with the guys my hubby rides with sometimes... our first clue that this wasn't a good idea... mike drug his feet getting prices and quotes for us... we had the money and were ready to buy.... we'd call and he'd say "i'm working on it... i'm so busy" (but when we'd go in the shop.. he'd be sitting behind the counter or chatting with friends... UGH!)

but we stuck with him..... then... as i already mentioned... getting him to put it together once he had the framre.... grrrrrr he just doesn't appear to have ANY sense of urgency.... very laid back!

he really ticked me off one day when we had dropped my bike off for a tune up and his after the bottom bracker fiasco (forget why his had to go BACK in).... told him when we'd be there to pick them up the next day (after work)... we arrived and he was outside smoking a cigarette talking to his buddies wife... and hubby's bike wasn't even done! when he saw us pull up... he quickly went back inside and got to work! THEN.... hubby looked at my bike... spun the wheel.... and pressed the brakes to stop it... the cable broke! so we ended up going to get something to eat while he finished and fixed mine!

ya.... we've already decided to drive the hour to the next closest bike shop for tune ups.... neither of us have a warm fuzzy!

we wouldn't have taken it isaac back to him... but when he called oshner.. they told him you HAVE to go through the bike shop.... he tried to tell them he didn't have confidence in him... *sigh*... we'll be taking it back to kevin in palm desert once it's rebuilt! UGH!

sheesh... that's ridiculous... loyalty only goes so far with me... I also expect service. Of course getting good service is what CREATES loyalty in me...

hope it all works out... and soon!
There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".
