Not strange at all! I do that at the gym on the treadmill -I don't do it running outside, for some reason, though!
    I like Sundial's husband's thing, too!

I use a Shuffle. Super easy to attach to sleeve and change songs, adjust volume, etc. You can get a good deal on the "old" design, since there's a newer version now. I just got one when dh went to buy a new charger and found out it would only cost $20 more to buy a new shuffle that comes with a charger. So he got a charger and I go a shuffle. Sweet!

not that I am debating the use/non use of music while riding....

the bra works well for storage......and now works even better since I have pockets (gotta love cancer...but when god gives you lemons make lemonaid!)....

If you like the bra idea you can get a mastectomy bra with a pocket to keep it in....

On one of the 3-day Breast Cancer walks, a woman had a Big Gulp drink cup in her cleavage. She barely had to tilt her head to sip from the straw.
For 3 days, I get to part of a thousand other journeys.

Sundial, I love that!! Although I don't use an iPod, I have been putting my Blackberry in a small bento box with padding in the bottom. It's not a very good fit, but I think I will try to rig something like you have. I don't like carrying my Blackberry in my jersey pocket because it is so bulky and if I take a spill, I would have one huge bruise.

I think they call that a redneck cupholder

Thank you for reminding me that I'm way overdue for having my bQQbs squished yearly. I vote no ipod, listen to the birdies chirp and to all of you singing off key as you pass me because you're listening to the ipod in your bra.

If I can avoid the new storage options I'd like to do that. But it's nice to know that if I survived cancer I could ride, be fabulous and have new storage options. I would look like the real cool kids that don't even use an under seat bag, just what is in the rear jersey pocket or perhaps just tucked in the leg of a bib short (turned up so the logo on the elastic shows).

But wait where'd she store that Topeak mini pump?

I just leave it in my regular running armband, but stick it in my jersey pocket.

I'm one of those that likes to listen to music when I ride. I wear a small, thin & skinny "belly bag" under my jersey with my cell, iPod and car key in it. I've tried putting it all in my jersey pockets but lost my car key that way. I only wear the ear piece away from the traffic and listen to the music with a low volume so I can chit-chat with other riders. Works well for me!
