Um, maybe it's a math error. Let me pour a glass of wine, take myself to dinner, smoke a cigarette and get out the tape measure. It will take a little bit, as I can't do this at work. Post later. I am also laughing at myself!

Maybe your measuring tape has the first decimal, and it was 85mm instead of 850mm???
Thank you Alpinerabbit for the longest laugh of the day - the baby giraffe thing cracked me up!

Okiedokie- after further measuring and investigation, I apparently pulled the wrong tape measure from the sewing box, the lights were dim, and I had just had a glass of wine, and only one contact was in place. Now, the correct measurement of my saddle sore hiney is 76.3mm. Not enough to pass a giraffe.
Anyway, is there is scale somewhere that tells me what saddle fits this measurement?
Lookit, grasshopper....
Hummmm...
Is it me or that's also odd?
Yeah, don't we usually talk about like, 140 mm???

Thought a visual might help here. Most bike shops have this handy device and will let you sit your hiney on it for free to take the measurement. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...G5TYlAeYpJDHAw
I have heard of people using playdough or a bag of flour as well.
What the heck is wrong with me? I am feeling like a mutant. 6 inches is 152mm, correct? I just picked a random number and stuck it in a google converter.
Crap, lemme call an assistant. Now, this will be awkward...
