Seattle area - Sat, 5/16 ride

Hi local TE women - Salsabike and I are planning to ride on Sat afternoon; would anyone care to join us?

I have only just been back out on a road ride last weekend, so this isn't going to be anything other than a fun outing on our bikes...am thinking even that the Interurban out of Tukwila or the Centennial out of Snohomish might break the monotony of the closer-in trails and not be as busy either. Whaddya think?

I've never even been on the Centennial and would like that.

What time are you thinking of heading out? I'm free after 2.

Hi all. i have to work, so cannot make it. But I wanted to give a hollar out to MM QFC for getting back on the road! That is so COOL. Enjoy and I think there will be sunshine for you guys. I will do a little sun dance for you before I go to bed that morning!

    Hey Jocelyn,
Salsa and I were planning to meet @12:30, but I'm flexible to start a bit later...when would you be able to meet in Snohomish/ at the Centennial trailhead?

Hey Jes - thanks! Yes, it's supposed to be a sunny, warm Saturday - woo.hoo! Sun dances all help though - thanks for that!
Btw, I'm even more appreciative of caring professionals like you - in vet ER, as my "grand dog" had to have surgery last weekend for a herniated disc...she's a mini-dachshund and thankfully, all went well. My sweet d-i-l took her drugged and healing bod back home yesterday

I think I could get to the trailhead by 2:15 . . . but honestly, if you want to stick to the earlier time by all means do so, and don't worry about me -- I'm just worried that if I reschedule on my hairdresser one more time she'll fire me (things have gotten a little out of control lately )

I am totally okay with starting later, Jocelyn. MM, how long is our ride? I'm thinking we have plenty of time.

Length of trail is @18 miles - Snohomish to Arlington, so we can decide if we do all or part once we're out there...I'm flexible ...also, how about we meet/start at 3 at the trailhead?

    Here's a link for driving directions: http://www.seattlebiketours.org/memb...ial_trail.html

let's make it 3 to meet; that gives us all more time, ok?
Jocelyn, can you get to Snohomish by then? I just spotted your message but had already posted the link for directions to the trailhead in Snohomish...will that work for you?

I would love to do this, but Raleighdon wants me to ride 70 miles on Saturday so this will not be enough.

Yep, and you'd understandably be looking to start earlier in the day too.
Of course, you could always keep going at trails end in Arlington - heading east towards Darrington on hwy 530, then turning around when you get 1/2 the mileage you want (mileage between Arlington/Darrington is closer to 30 miles, than the 17 more that you'd need in order to meet RD's criteria)
I've done the Snohomish > Lk Stevens > Arlington > Darrington > Rockport > Concrete > Sedro-Woolley > Arlington > Lk Stevens > Snohomish loop (@150 miles) as the final training ride for every 1-day STP I rode...and I am a 5-time 1-day'er, so it worked for me!
We'll miss you this time, Mimi...see you on the road soon hopefully!
    Mary
