I would go with the bigger size. Especially if he is a bigger baby. He will get to wear it alot longer. I put my girls in 12-18 month stuff when they were 7 months...especially my second because the clothes were around.
Its better to be a little big than too small with babies.

I always bought big for my kids. Since it is long sleeve, it will be perfect for the fall and winter months when he/she will be a bit bigger anyways.

Oh! great T-shirt. I wish my son had had one when he was small...

I'd go for the larger. Parents tend to get loads of cute clothes for small babies that are outgrown as soon as you turn your back, but not so much for one year olds up.

...aaawwww, please forgive the thread hijack but I had a sudden attack of mommy memories. Here's my son, about one year old, wearing what was my favourite outfit for him then. I guess it's no wonder that people thought he was a girl, we just thought he was beautiful.

Oh yeah, get the bigger size--long sleeves and all that. If it was short sleeved, I'd say get the smaller one. But he'll be able to weart it longer when he's a little older anyway. My grandson grew out of his newborn stuff in about 3 weeks! (he was 9 lbs at birth).
