The cover is definitely waterproof, by the way- in case you get caught in the rain.
True, the Cuisinart one isn't rainproof but because the steam can escape the result is so crispy and light.

    Hmm, what's for dinner?

And, yah, I'm sure the red makes my popcorn mo' bettah than your popcorn.

Ahh, but there's the beauty!- I just hook a recycled large paper clip over the edge of the pot and VOILA!- the perfect steam escape adapter!

    I confess....rice pudding.

    Sure.

Oh, here I am last year making popcorn for the masses while camping at our music festival- I think I made like 5 pots in a row! (IGNORE that roll of fat that is likely just an optical illusion) :

Great photo, Lisa. I just realized that I have never used a Coleman stove while wearing a skirt.

Or a "Museum of Sex, NYC" shirt either, I'll wager!

Well you can see we were not exactly 'roughing it' there at the fairgrounds while camping.

I got this for my lovely partner's birthday.

It broke after the second use.

But I LOVED the idea. Too bad the parts are so cheap. So we're back to just shaking it ourselves. I don't mind shakin' it.

Hey, I had one of those for YEARS! Loved it. Maybe you just got a defective one? I should try to find another.

It's actually a black tank top that I wore over a black Smartwool base layer. The lettering is in silver glitter....
The next time we went there they didn't have them for sale anymore- other styles instead that I didn't like as much. Well, still have my one, so I'm happy. But you should know...the tank top isn't waterproof in the rain either.

Did you 'do' the museum when you were there?

What gets me mad, is that I get groceries delivered. ( no car and too many too ride home, as shop is quite far).
So, here they are delivering food to me ,in big plastic containers - in f-ing BAGS. I mean , if they can put it in a container, why not sans bags? But no, they wont.
So here I was, baggless and now back to bags. Good things they are startch bags( useless for saddles!they melt)So I resuse them( everyone seems to forget the 'reuse'here, before the recyle , which is quite toxic - things like platic bottles.). Saved many a luck from melting all over backpack and such, But they still are CRAP.
Conquering illness, one step at time.
