Thanks for your advice, papaver! One thing I wanted to ask though: is there radio station commentary in French for the Tour of Flanders and/or Ghent/Welvelghem? I know there is for Paris-Roubaix but I speak French, not Flemish!

hi
Cheers for that. What I meant to say: is there live radio commentry (in French) during the Tour of Flanders? It would be nice to do that for the Flanders races... I have a decent Roberts shortwave radio that is gathering dust, be nice to use it...
Maybe you can find some frequences here: http://www.rtl.fr/
The definately cover the most important races.

ta! I have bookmarked the site.
One year we were sat in a campsite in NW Wales and were listening to live Tour de France commentry (from RTL I think), it was clear as a bell on the car radio!

I'll be setting the DVR as soon as I get home tonight.
I wonder if I get that channel with basic coverage...
"How about if we all just try to follow these very simple rules of the road? Drive like the person ahead on the bike is your son/daughter. Ride like the cars are ambulances carrying your loved ones to the emergency room. This should cover everything, unless you are a complete sociopath."
