There's a chickee in my office with an MS that is totally bamboozled by the vitamin water thing. Drinks it every day and believes that it's better for her than plain water - "the ads can't be wrong"I kid you not.
I drink the plain stuff. Daily. And coffee. And my growth has been stunted for life. But I balance it with dark chocolate and seasonal fruit.
Susan - thank you for the article. Going to have to give my store brand chicken a second look. Oy vey. At least I know where my seafood is coming from.

"Consumers today are savvy, they are educated and they are looking for more from their beverages than simply hydration," said Coke spokesman Scott Williamson.
No, they're not, no,they're not, and no, they're not.

Zen, I agree...!
Do free range chickens have saline enhanced breasts?
I think many consumers WANT to be healthy, but we are all too often swayed by marketing and buzzwords, instead of having an actual foundation in nutritional knowledge.
A great book (Just picked up the latest edition, even though I've read it before) is Nancy Clark's Sports Nutrition Guidebook. Good practical, solid nutritional information.
Have any of you seen the Godd Morning America segment on Mountain Dew? You'll shake your head in amazement when watching it.
