Isn't that a lei on her monitor? It looks like they covered the bases. Maybe hoping to distract her from the piles?

Jo - glad you're back to work. The piles of stuff just means they can't do it without you. Nice to have job security!!
Heh, that's mineIt's hanging up on the arm of the light next to my monitor, alongside my collection of mardi gras necklaces and badges on neck cords from various old meetings.
Anyone happen to notice the artwork at the far end of my bulletin board, pinned directly above the faux orchid plant?
You betcha!![]()

Hee hee, good guess, considering whose office it is.
Nope, it's Mimi's portrait of Barack Obama.
It's not very clear in the photo so we'll cut you some slack.![]()

Been following your progress reports and thinking I'm glad the posts started at the recovery progress end. The accident sounds horrendous, even in barely remembered retrospect. I hate those splotchy shadows! Not that we get them much here. Here it's the low sun straight in your eyes. Watching your reports keeps reminding me to stay alert while riding.I think I'll dedicate my day 1 ride to you, the sponsor I'll keep in mind while I struggle up hills and stay watchful on the downhills and in the rider packs. Anyhooo ... Good to know you're back on your feet, back at work, soon (I hope) back on your bike.
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.
