So I turned it upside-down and put the box fan on it for 18 hours and it works now

I'm so glad! This also happened to my previous laptop (but not with as much water) and it ended up working after a day under the fan too

My current notebook is nearly 4 years old so I'm wondering if I should have my sights on a new computer just in case...

I also backed up everything the minute it turned on
