Fine, but in my head, there's vanilla cream, real chocolate sauce, and an ever-so-thin layer of Nutella! (can you tell I'm trying to diet?)

You keep adding stuff to the waffles that make them inedible.

I can't do nutella - too high in carbs, not high enough in protein.

love nutella - but checked out the ingredients and unless they've change it recently it has hydrogenated oil, so I've had to look for alternate sources. Occasionally Trader Joes has their own hazelnut-chocolate spread, with no bad stuff added. A local place has a grinder with hazelnuts and chocolate chips that you can grind your own fresh too

We had that discussion here a few months ago - what changed recently is the US version, to include the hydrogenated oil. Euro Nutella is still trans fat free.

Can we get grey market Nutella? You gals coming over for the ALC are hereby appointed to bring a case each!

Susan, recipe please. I've never been big on the frozen waffles, but I do like the frozen pancakes. I need to try Nutella. Sounds very yummy. Lately I've been craving the Peanut Butter with Honey.

WHY!!!! This sucks that we have to get the unhealthy stuff and Europe is leading the way with banning hydrogenated fat.

Only 2 grams of protein in Nutella. Peanut butter has 8. Nutella - 20 carbs, pb 5 carbs. Nuella wins the fats with 11. PB has 16.

    Jam - pure sugar.

I'd rather save my sugars for gelato.

Make your own wafflles with added protein powder. Then you can use Nutella, it would be worth it.

I'm trying to avoid using protein powder. I want to be able to eat healthy with real food. It's my little weirdness.

Yes but jam (if you make it yourself) is healthy. Pure sugar or not.

How do you figure jam is healthy? Just curious... It seems to me it has a lot of simple sugars. Any vitamins it might contain, can be gotten from other sources with less sugar.
