The best arms to fight poverty? Education!

I truly think that there's only one way to fight poverty, and that's through education. A Belgian teenager had a great idea when he visited the slums in South America: a mobile school. So he installed some wheels under a blackboard, gathered some homeless kids around the blackboard and teached them how to read and write.

Cool idea where the opportunities to attend school are limited.

What about motivating kids to stay in school? I'm thinking more about issues I see in my local area, and other cities I've lived in. We have schools, but getting kids to go to school, everyday, seems to be the issue. And we aren't necessarily talking about poor kids either.

But take one victory at a time. And for those that have not had the chance to go to school, and hunger for knowledge - taking school to them sounds great!
