A guy at dinner was rummaging through an ice chest looking for diet sodas and I told him I didn't think he really needed a diet drink after riding 200 miles. Then he said he'd lost 140 pounds since July (?), and I asked him if he was from Camarillo and had a sister named bikerchick. So, that was me.

Glad he had a good ride, he looked good, both in terms of weight loss and cognitive function(many riders at the end seem to barely know their own names any more).
I was really surprised how many women did the ride. I always think guys who do 200 miles are crazy, but I think the women are awesome, so I've got a slight double standard going... Two women finished among the first 10 finishers too!
The last few riders came in a little after midnight, one of those complaining about a seam in his Pearl Izumis. Imagine riding with crotch problems for 200 miles! Some people talked about having started as early as 4:30 am, and someone even mentioned starting at 1:30 (!!). I'd guess the majority of people finished between 7:30 - 10pm, meaning they'd been on the bike a minimum of 12 hours. I just can't fathom being on the bike for that long.
Bikerchick your brother should be proud, and congrats on his Triple Crown.
