    Well, since you asked

When I first got my new Lynskey in mid-March (my midlife crisis bike), I commuted on it to work a few times. My commute is about 15 miles each way, and pretty flat.

On the new bike I shaved nearly 8 minutes off my ride time, without even trying. So my best time was a hair over 52 minutes

and the following weekend I had my crash ... bah!

Today's commute in: +1 The rain yesterday washed the streets clean. -1 The wet road stuff went from back tire up back of shorts. +1 When my chain fell off, I had it back on in seconds. -1 The grease from my glove went to my nose, cheeks, and around eyes, making me (unknowingly) look like a coal miner. +1 Averaged 17.5 + 30 miles in the bank.
I can do five more miles.

Oh, that is such a bummer that you hurt yourself JUST as you were enjoying the freedom of that new bike.

Eh, the bike came out with very little damage & I'm healing up, so no probs.

Although my ride times will be significantly slower when I get back on the bike. So it goes...

Better than not being able to ride at all.
Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better.
