Just added to my netflix queue (although they don't have it yet). But, yes, unless you have a good sound system, a theater might be a better bet (if it will play near you). Thanks for the heads up, but sorry, no help to you.

Has anyone seen his new movie "Throw Down Your Heart"? I am undecided about going to see it this weekend, or waiting for the DVD. Some movies you really need to see in a a theater, and I'm thinking this might be one of them.

Is that the one where he goes to Africa to learn about the origins of the banjo? I didn't realize that was a movie. I just thought it was something he did.
I love Bela Fleck. "Sinister Minister" is a favorite.

Bela's the best. Have you seen him with Abigail Washburn and Sparrow?

I went to the movie; it's excellent. Bela Fleck & Sascha Paladino were there and did a Q&A afterward. And Bela played a song! There's lots to admire about the movie. For one thing, it wasn't dominated by Bela Fleck's virtuosity; the focus was on the African musicians.
A side note: the movie theater is right next to a tattoo place and I watched someone get a tattoo while waiting in line. Ick. I'm never getting a tattoo.

The website says there is no local showing in my area....guess I'll wait for Netflix. Sounds like it should be an interesting watch. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
