The big ride a couple weeks ago that started in La Conner was the "Tulip Pedal". I didn't see a single tulip when we were riding...maybe the tulips are late this year? It's a fun ride, the stretch near the water by Samish Bay was really pretty.

hi, thanks malaholic. yeah, i knew about the tulip ride, pesky late tulips, eh?
i was really trying to find out who this group of people is that i see riding in a group ride on the weekends. although they actually just went by just now...probably 10-12 folks, all a bit older...etc., etc.
thanks!
Possibly a Cascade group. I know Jan Johnson (who is a nice, older lady)had a ride in that area last week.

IKKIN: I'm pretty sure right now you are seeing many different groups. They all come up at this time of year to see the flowers.
But if you're interested in joining the local club... here's their website.

There are rides almost daily, of different kinds and at different times.
The big rides are Wednesday night (varies start points week to week), and there are usually Friday am rides, and weekend rides.
Check out the ride calendar if you are interested. You can always PM me and join in anytime! Or just show up -- everyone is very friendly -- just tell them you are new!
