I'm a roadie... the thought of going over a curb scares the living day lights out of me. I'm newer to biking (started about 10 months ago) I have just started commuting to school (I'm a grad student). It depends upon the day, but I can be a girlie or I can be a tomboy. I love adventures....

I'm a roadie, a mountain biker, and a commuter- a jack of all trades and a master of none Generally speaking, I'm a tomboy, but I clean up pretty well when the situation demands.

I'm a commuter and a "pootler", I love "pootling" along on country roads exploring but wouldn't call myself a roadie. I just take my time and enjoy being out taking in the scenery. Luckily I now live in a place with beautiful scenery and lots of it to take in. Aside from cycling, my main hobbies are knitting and cooking/baking and I would love to get back into a bit of quilting. Oh, and I'm a total chocoholic...

I'll join in. I'm a roadie too. A really slow one. Would like to get my hybrid (or a new bike!) geared up so I could take it to the store for quick runs, but that hasn't happened yet. I don't think anyone would call me a girly girl, but I'm not 100% tomboy (anymore, that is). I do love socks, I'll put that right out there.
You too can help me fight cancer, and get a lovely cookbook for your very own! My team's cookbook is for sale Click here to order. Proceeds go to our team's fundraising for the Philly Livestrong Challenge!

I am so pleased that so many others replied too, there are still some others out there, perhaps they will add something about themselves.

Me too! Me too! Hate shoes, but I lust after quirky socks!

Love my road bike and train for events 100+ miles in length. In my obsessive/compulsive world everything cycling-related coordinates with my bike -- black and yellow. Mountain bike occasionally, but spend most of the ride worrying I'm going to injure myself and not be able to take the road bike out. Would much rather battle vehicles than have to parry with those pesky trees that refuse to stay out of my way!

Chocolate? Did someone say chocolate?! Our motto around here is, "Chocolate -- it's not just for breakfast anymore!"

Not a girly girl, love birds, spend what little free time I have in the garden or working in the flower beds.

Ok- I'll play. I hope my SS sees this and adds her info...

I tour, and am a stop and smell the roses kind of rider. I also do triathlons (but when I do those, I'm NOT the stop and smell the roses kind of rider). I like anything bike, but don't wear socks since I got my new Keen sandals (no socks and sandals at this age anyway). No matter what you send, I'll love it!!!

Alright, I'm late as usual, but here I come!
I ride a road bike and sometimes a time trial bike, mostly wear team clothing, and if I go off the curb is because I missed the corner and I'm falling...
Outside of cycling I like dresses or business attire much more than jeans/casual - I'm not a big chocolate fan but some people think I'm having an affair with starbucks
And - I loved every SS gift I ever received!!!

C'mon, I think there are a few more to come out of hiding yet.

It's good hearing about what others like regardless of whether they are involved in the 'Secret Sister surprise' or not.

    Wonder who will be next?

I'm mostly a commuter, an occasional slow roadie, and a timid mountain biker. And a vegan who loves socks (shoe size 9) and t-shirts (women's large) and dark chocolate.

Pootler, I like that term. Technically, I'm a pootler--on a road bike. I do like the long distance rides, but I'm just not all that fast. Not terribly girly either--could be if my life depended on it I s'pose, but it's not high on my list of priorities. So far I have been thrilled to pieces with everything sent to me by previous secret sisters.

Road biking would be my first love but I've been commuting more often on my single speed and find that to be the best way to start and end any workday.

I got my first mountain bike last season and I've been really getting into that too. Zipping through those trails makes me feel like a kid again .... especially after all the bruises and scrapes from my numerous falls. I guess I've commited myself to attempt a few races this summer.

Despite the fact that 2 of my 3 bikes are primarily pink I'm not a real girly-girl either. I have never received anything from a Secret Sister that I haven't used and enjoyed. The mystery of it all just makes it more fun.

I just love bicycling. I mainly ride a road bike, but I have a hybrid that I've just started using for errands to the market. Vegetarian, and a huge animal lover. I love bright colors, especially red. I love socks. I can be a girly-girl (I love dressing up in fancy clothes--sometimes), but am generally most comfortable in jeans. I'd love to be considered "edgy" and a little "boho", but I just don't think a 52 y/o suburban Atlanta woman can exactly qualify for that distinction. My other hobbies are silversmithing, jewelry-making, reading, travel.

I wonder if there are many more Secret Sister's to add to this?
