I bought a unicycle, after seeing those chaps and chapesses on them a couple of weeks ago in the woods i decided i couldn''t live without one. So i orderedone from the internet and it arrived sadly the day after i sprained my ankle really badly but once i'm better i'm going to learn how to ride the thing and see if i can maybe commute to work on it.![]()

Cool!
I see a You Tube video in the making.I think it's so neat how people can balance on one wheel--and do it on a mtb trail.

Sounds really cool! I admire people with such balance!
I, however, have trouble balancing on two perfectly good wheels. I'd make a good youtube video for sure: I'd show you how to fall and break every bone in your body on a unicycle.
When you get out on it, you have to post some pictures so we can see you riding it.Heal quickly!

Good luck!!
I told my hubby that if I ever come across one on a yard sale or something, I'm getting it. I'd like to learn, but making an investment in a new activity like that isn't an option for me right now.
They say it takes about 14 hours to learn how to ride in a straight line.
I look forward to hearing reports of your progress!! Speedy recovery!! And it seems as though no pad is too much when learning how to unicycle. The people riding at the national convention/championships last summer all had shin guards, wrist guards, helmets, etc.
Have fun!
Cool, have fun!
I have one, got it for Christmas a year and a half ago, still learning (I haven't put much time into it).![]()
That is so cool. I see unicycles occasionally -- looks like fun. Good luck with the ankle. I can't wait to hear about your adventures.

How fun!!!
There was an article in Outdoor magazine about a unicyclist, very intriguing.
I'm excited to hear how you like it!(Do I need to remind you to still wear a helmet?)

I used to ride one as a kid. I have actually toyed with the idea of getting one. Update us on the ride!
