Well, I went and rode the Ruby Elite compact double today and decided to get it. I couldn't afford to get it all at once so I put it on lay away. I decided I just didn't like the Sora shifters and that I would sell it rather than upgrade. I'm not a mechanic. I took a class on tuning up my bike last month but I seem to have forgotten it all. Thank you all for your input it did influence my decision.
