Keep up the positive attitude, Jo! Helping out at the ride instead sounds like a decent compromise. Hopefully, you'll get to ride the trainer, still. From the others' comments, it looks like a real possibility to me....
Congrats, Emily, on your comeback milestone! 40 miles is an accomplishment ANY time, but especially for you, after your injuries. Way to go!
Take care...

Hey Jo
Terrible news
But chin up and this time will pass

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
"I will try again tomorrow".
At least it looks like the trainer should be able to work. We don't want you going stir-crazy. Hope that shoulder heals itself quickly.
Drink coffee and do stupid things faster with more energy.
thanks everyone. i have a cycle-ops fluid which seems very sturdy. i took a walk with my daughter today to cvs and the food store. oh yes, and our little ****z tu buddy in his dog stroller (completely my daughters idea getting the stroller, but the cutest thing). but that was a very leisurely mile walk and felt so good to do something. i am up 3lbs already i don't want to go up any more. once i can start peddling at little intervals during the day i know i will feel so much better.
i have also been keeping my sling off for short whiles during the day. i am still sleeping in a recliner and cannot wait to get back into a bed.
latelatebloomer-what a consolation, thanks. what my little peddaling is a far cry from a spin class so you i am sure the dr. will give me the ok.
