Everything dried out except for the feet -- still prunish and soaked at the finish -- but, oh the grit, grit, grit, grit!!! Grit in places that boggle the mind. An unbelievable amount of grit.
We stopped at a friend's house for lunch rather than the official lunch stop and I was able to change my shorts and socks. OMG; the relief. Thankfully, my butt didn't get anywhere near as chafed as it might have otherwise. Even when RAIN is dry, you get really dirty during it.
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.
