    TE cookbook?

With all these fabulous recipes floating around out here, I was wondering if a TE cookbook has ever been done?

There really is a lot of wisdom on this board. Recipes certainly but more important the info about women's cycling from bike fit, nutrition, training, looking fabulous on any bike, juggling work/family and cycling .... it's all here on TE and we find it nowhere else.

It's been suggested before that there be a TE book on any one of those subjects. Once you publish or self publish copyright becomes just one issue.

If I've said anything particularly wise or wonderful do I want it in a book? Or do I want it in TE's book or want to publish my own? Or worse yet did I pick up the wit and wisdom somewhere else and will that person say "hey! That's not Trek's wisdom that's mine and I want a cut"

Yes, while there are many cookbooks out there I think the world needs one that combines good nutrition and of course taste with the ease so busy cyclists could whip up a good pre ride or recovery meal. Maybe you'll be the one to publish it? Maybe someone else here.

Best to make sure if you do that each recipe is properly credited and researched. You'll need to do a lot of research for a cookbook, not just to insure no copyright infringement but test each recipe over and over and .... so .... party at skinimini's house!!!

Bring a TE dish to share.

OMG! My naivete is really apparent. I was just thinking more along the lines of a compilation. Of course Trek, you are totally correct. But we can still have a party at my house anytime.

I think I need to get off this computer, get on my bike, and clear my head of any ideas that require research, or massive amounts of cooking (I do that enough in my own house)!

No. Your optimism is heartening, and your appreciation of TE is really apparent, and of course I'm right and yes, we all need to get on our bikes, ride and come back and cook!

If we DID do a TE cookbook... I'd really love a section for pre-ride meals and recovery meals.

What if we organized a GoogleDoc to be a cookbook and gave anyone access? That might be one way to start an organized compilation without worrying about copyright stuff.

It's actually really easy to set up, so I'm going to go ahead and do that. If it's a bust, that's ok! It will just be a convenient place for a rolling compilation of our best and favorite recipes!

Reesha, it's a nice idea. I suspect it might be a good idea to first run it by the owners of Team Estrogen though.
