    Buying from Wiggle

I found some pedals from Wiggle a lot cheaper than US sites but I am wondering with Wiggle being UK based do you get knocked by the credit cards for the foreign fees? Just wondering when all is said an done if it will still be a good deal? They are about $30 cheaper so I think it is.

Depends on your credit card. Mine charges 3% for foreign transactions.

Do the math and, if it's still a good deal, go for it!

What about using paypal? Not sure what/if they charge for foreign transactions, but might be worth looking into...

P.S. If you or anybody else are planning on ordering from wiggle, here is a voucher code for £5 off orders over 50 pounds... Valid for the next 7 days, I won't be using it, so someone else might as well.

The shipping might eat up any savings.

Shipping is free worldwide (although there is a minimum order amount)

I've ordered from Wiggle and Carradice. I used paypal when I ordered from Wiggle, so you can see your charges right there. Shipping is actually about the same as you would pay here, even if you don't buy enough to get it free. I bought a saddle from Wiggle and paid about $10 in shipping. Both places always had it to me within a week also. I was very impressed with both companies and will do business with them again. I have seen some places in the UK where shipping to the US is really really high, but not at Wiggle or Carradice. Apparently they are trying to embrace the US market too.

The pedals, Time XL mountain pedals, are only $100 on Wiggle with $11 shipping. Cheapest I can find in the US is $139 with tax, shipping and all that. Plus it is a site I am not familar with, they are much more from the sites I have used, near $150.

I think my credit card with fraud protection (a must when using that blasted paypal) is a 3% fee so not much.

Does your cc charge a fee even with paypal? I didn't look, but I didn't notice that it was any different on my statement than it was through paypal.

Yes it does, I know because my CC got stolen through Paypal by Skype UK. But I also know this one has excellent fraud protection because it got stolen through Paypal by Skype UK.

If anybody wants anything from the UK........within reason, I would be only too pleased to try and sort something out.

It would be a way of returning favours, for girls on this site who have helped me out on occasions.
