One of my bricks was 2.5 hours on the bike folled by over an hour of running. That's the one I felt pretty good on. I am trying to gain confidence from feeling good on that run!

    I have raced Xterra before.
I did only Xterra in 2007 and qualified for and competed at Nationals. Last year I had ITB from hell that kept me off the bike for 3 months so I was behind training. I raced my mt bike and did road sprints last season.

(I am not totally new at this, you would think I would have the brick thing all figured out right?)

Anyway this season I am back to racing Xterra, I am racing my mt bike for a team which is a ton of fun. My first Xterra got canceled so I am doing an Olympic instead.

And it is a TON of fun....hard...but so much fun.

And good luck to you HIM girl!!!

I have noticed that some of our xterra trail races were cancelled this year. Do you think there is some reason for that? Participation?

I don't think I quite have the guts for the mountain biking part of it yet!

I did compete in Nationals. It was an amazing experience. Really amazing. Cold swim in lake Tahoe!!!! 57 degrees! Snow on the ground.

The race here was canceled because the park raised the insurance premium and the race director could no longer afford to do the race at that venue.
